Public Events & Festivals
 We were a part of Clockenflap even before it became the highlight festival of the calendar year, and long before Pyjama was born, assisting for licensing for the first year, and have grown with the event ever since. In Hong Kong it doesn't get much more exciting than heading the F&B providing drinks for 75,000+ people over 3 days from 14 bars, plus acting for licensing, equipment, marquees & furniture supplier, while recruiting & caring for hundreds of bar staff, backstage crews and artists. |  FEAST is the first of our expanded mission from 2019 to create and curate our own events. A joint collaboration with the team behind Clockenflap will see an ongoing series of food festivals, the first of which, “A FEAST for the City” was held at PMQ with an impressive line-up of talented chefs. We have multiple new FEASTS and other joint projects in place and in the pipeline with the Magnetic Asia team. |  This multi cultural community concert event (formerly known as Picnic in the Park for 10 years) was held for the first time on Discovery Bay's Tai Pak beach & the main plaza in 2016 and repeated in 2017, 2018, and in 2019 featured our 10m wide stage covers. Featuring live and original performances from Hong Kong’s best and rising talents. Pyjama was head of event management, F&B and equipment supplier, staffing, plus handled all licensing & payment systems management. |

 March 2015 to 2019 (2020 cancelled) The inaugural Art Central in March 2015 welcomed almost 30,000 art collectors, buyers and the public from Hong Kong and around the world, and immediately establishing itself as the must-see event in Hong Kong Art Week. Pyjama acted as site manager for the entire set-up, during the event and breakdown plus licensing contractor for food and alcohol, food vendor recruitment, equipment supplier, events staff and local fixer. We now help them in Taipei too. |  OFF MENU is a new dining experience for those who crave the unexpected. Pyjama was the lead contractor for all licensing, production, marquees, staff, cleaning, on-site operations & Audio Visual including a band (plus much much more) with our friends from T Dining/Tatler. OFF MENU 2021 is eagerly being prepared with pyjama's assistance. |  Sónar Hong Kong is the Hong Kong edition of the pioneering festival from Barcelona celebrating music, creativity and technology. Pyjama takes care of all the bars, staff and much of the furniture & equipment, plus marquees. In 2018 Pizza Heaven was born - our own pizza stall! |
 For the first three editions we assisted for set up and breakdown crews, but in 2017/8 and 2018/9 we were tasked to head all the F&B running 4 food stalls ourselves for the 67 day event, including pizzas, burgers, hot roast meat sandwiches and our very popular baked potato stall, plus private events. We also supplied 5x5m and 3x3m marquees in 2017&8 - the birth of our new company - "Pyjama Marquees" |  Pink Dot is one of Hong Kong’s most anticipated LGBTI+ events, a free, fun, non-political outdoor concert and carnival. Pyjama was instrumental to changing the business plan in 2017 as the event had outgrown the free-for-all style, introducing paid bars and food vendors. We also provide all those pink tents, the electrical power and distribution plus furniture. Pyjama recruits food vendors and finds bar sponsors. Big thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard with us to make it happen |  The Volvo Ocean Race stopped off in Hong Kong in January 2018 at the end of the Kai Tak runway. Pyjama had the task of feeding the hungry crew and volunteers for over a month, and in keeping with the event's sustainable policy used all reusable crockery, glassware and cutlery. We also successfully hosted over 20 private & public events within 10 days providing catering, staff, equipment & furniture - of course, all to pyjama perfection and with style. |
 Heading F&B for the lead up events and main race days. Lead up events: Thurs to Sat 6 to 8 October 2016 Main race: Sunday 9 October 2016 Pyjama was extremely proud to have fought off the competition to be appointed the contractor to operate the e-Village bars and food vendors, each day catering to over 20,000 people, plus the lead up sports event & concert. We were asked back for 2020 but the event was sadly cancelled. |  Sevens Central in 2019 delivered the atmosphere of the Sevens right in the heart of Hong Kong with Pyjama manning the bars and providing the back stage catering for international superstar Gwen Stefani and local heros (and pyjama favourite), Supper Moment. |  Over Sevens Weekend (Fri 7 to Sun 9 April 2017), Lee Garden One – the iconic high-end shopping centre on Hysan Avenue in Causeway Bay – was reinvented as the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens FanWalk, offering fans, locals and visitors an international experience based on the Sevens theme “Where the World Comes to Play”. Pyjama assisted looking after all F&B and equipment. |
 2012 to 2018 Beertopia started in the historic Western Market in April 2012 with Pyjama acting as the food caterer and soft drinks supplier. We completely sold out and were sold on the idea of working with the organiser for future years. The festival has grown in size and ambition each year... and Pyjama grew along side it acting as event manager, site manager, equipment & all tents supplier, providing staff and occasional beer taster! Look out for our own version as soon as conditions allow |  Pyjama worked with our friends at IMG when The Premier League Asia Trophy (a biennial tournament) was held in Hong Kong in 2017 featuring four Premier League teams: Liverpool, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace. We assisted for one week of training sessions at four venues and at the HK Stadium for the matches providing staff, logistics, laundry, tents and equipment. |  This yearly festival that started in 2018 at CHES sees Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong presenting some great new lifestyle experiences, with, of course cars, but also music, art, fashion and sports to innovation, technology, sustainability and e-sports. Pyjama was there to assist with equipment, furniture, event containers and staff. |
 Pinot Palooza is an outdoor wine tasting event. The line-up of Pinot producers were the best from Australia, New Zealand, USA, France, Italy and beyond. A chance to soak up the music and drink your way across the globe. Pyjama was lead event producer for the whole event including licensing, tents, furniture, cleaning, sound & DJ equipment plus event staff. |  When the circus comes to town you can be sure Pyjama is there to provide catering services for the setup and breakdown crews. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL put on this breathtaking show of acrobatics, music, costumes and lighting in a big top at Central Harbourfront Events Space in April to June 2018.  24 hour races have been a youth movement since the very beginning, driven entirely by the spirit, energy and dedication of students - a global movement to end slavery. Students plan the events, run the races, fundraise and advocate in their communities. Teams run a continuous relay for 24 hours raising funds and awareness for anti-slavery charities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and San Francisco. Pyjama has been a very proud key sponsor for the Hong Kong edition since 2015 |  September 2014 October 2015 Our role was to manage the village bar open to the pubic and VIP tent bar at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. In 2015 five-time Wimbledon champion and former world number one Venus Williams was the star attraction stamping her presence on the tournament. |  Pyjama provides ongoing licensing and equipment services for this eclectic house and techno event held twice yearly in Cheung Chau. |
 Hong Kong’s finest dining establishments & hottest restaurants brought food connoisseurs a 4–day foodie wonderland during Taste of HK in 2016, 2017 & 2018. Pyjama’s involvement was integral to the event’s success with us taking care of all licensing, staff for VIP areas, extra equipment, VIP toilets and liaising with all the restaurants and booths, pus being the organisers “go to” guys for fixing any last minute requirements or problems. |  “BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT - '0.TO.10' FINAL IN HONG KONG” – BIGBANG’s first ever outdoor world-class concert in Hong Kong was held on January 21 & 22 (Saturday & Sunday) at East Kowloon Cruise Terminal Outdoor Activities Square. It was two remarkable nights ably assisted by Pyjama heading up F&B, licensing and equipment. |  Tiffany & Co. Presents 黎明 Leon 30th Anniversary Random Love Songs 4D in Live April & May 2016 Catering to an audience for Canto Pop King Leon Lai 黎明 of 4500 fans per night for an 8 night run , Pyjama was in charge of F&B including the bar, operating 6 food stalls and the VIP tent, plus F&B licensing. Held at Central Harbourfront Events Space, the event was the first of its kind at the venue. The organisers invited us to to work with them for their much bigger project in 2017, Dragonland. |

Pyjama assisted for the (difficult!) licensing, equipment rental, staff, bars, payment systems, security, tents, (difficult!) logistics and venue coordination. |  |
 This year in 2018, July and August, SummerFest will open up this iconic space for everyone to relax and have fun with XXL Playground, illuminate! art installation, and other park facilities and garden games. CVM, together with our partners, will also organize over 20 free events and activities to create a variety of fun summer happenings for the public to enjoy. |  When Kylie comes to town, her and her team need a little pampering as they strut their stuff on stage, our friends handling the production at International Fixer asked Pyjama to supply a personal chef and mini kitchen set up, plus buffet for the band, dancers and crew, and riders for the dressing rooms.  Saturday 30 January 2016 The 10th anniversary of ‘Picnic in the Park’, Hong Kong’s favorite live music and dance festival, will take place at Siena Park in Discovery Bay, on 30th January 2016. Attracting crowds of over 10,000 people, with over 60 acts performing on two custom built stages, Picnic in the Park is a unique festival experience for the whole family. |  The hugely successful global festival series - Corona Sunsets Festival came to Hong Kong for the first time on 6th Nov The Hong Kong Observation Wheel was transformed into a beach in the city for music fans in town from day till night. It was a great way to grab a chance to enjoy the one and only beach festival under the stunning skyline by Victoria Harbour!  Most of Hong Kong's well known catering companies regularly use our services when they have larger events that need use of our huge collection of glassware, crockery, cutlery and other catering equipment, and/or extra staff, or just use of our vans, trucks and manpower for logistics. This way they can concentrate on what they do best - delicious food. |  November 2014October 2015 Following its roaring début last year, the Hong Kong Classic returns for a celebration of classic cars, motorcycles and all things vintage in a family festival at the Central Harbourfront Event Space. The second edition of the festival is expected to feature 100 classic auto-mobiles and motorcycles from collectors and aficionados in Hong Kong and further afield. |  October & November 2013 Pyjama was the logistics and catering supervisor for the part of the shoot in Hong Kong of the Hollywood production “Transformers: Age of Extinction” directed by Michael Bay staring Mark Wahlberg and featuring Kelsey Grammer. A very complicated, constantly changing three week Marathon of locations and production times all over the city at all times of day. We didn't sleep for about a month, but was hugely rewarding and fun. |

 October 2014 ‘THE GREAT AMERICAN BBQ’ is an all day family friendly event celebrating the spirit of a ‘family BBQ’. Showcasing the world-renowned American BBQ culture, there will be a wide variety of BBQ favourites, great American wines, craft beers & more, all taking place on the grounds of Hong Kong’s Cyberport – The Podium |  |  Pyjama was brought in only three days before the crew arrived in Hong Kong from Seoul on Lady Gaga's Asian tour in April 2012 to provide all the equipment needed back stage to look after the cast & back-stage crew. We rented (and found suppliers to cross rent what we didn't already have) everything from fridges to t-spoons. Equipment hire is now one of our major activities and our warehouse and stock continues to grow. |
 It turns out that Hong Kong and Barcelona, although worlds apart geographically, have much to share in transforming their harbourfronts into vibrant community spaces. Pyjama provided support for the launch of a joint "Think Tank on Sustainable Urbanism" |  week long seminars When events company Concept 360° Events from Singapore needed local support for a week long seminar event in Hong Kong, they turned to Pyjama for assistance. |  The challenge for this charity event on Friday 15th June 2012, was to serve 700+ hungry staff of the company Duty Free Shopping a BBQ feast in Sai Kung Country Park almost all at the same time on a very tight budget in soaring temperatures. |
